These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by MIRO Logistics Group Ltd ("MIRO", "we", "us", "our"), a UK logistics company operating from Leeds, West Yorkshire. MIRO provides Same Day Courier, Home and Personal Removals, Student Removals, Office and Commercial Removals, and Managed Storage services.
By requesting a quote, making a booking, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to any service-specific terms, policies and Approved Quote that apply to your booking. Where these general Terms and a service-specific document conflict, the service-specific document takes precedence for that service.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have under UK consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can contact us on 07393 207202 (phone/WhatsApp) or through the contact details on our website.
We treat every booking as one of the following types:
We ask you to confirm whether you are booking mainly for personal or business purposes, because this affects which legal protections and cancellation rights apply. We do not assume you are a business customer simply because you provide a company name, a business email address, collection from a business address, or payment on a company card.
Our booking process generally follows these stages:
Approved Quotes are time-limited. As a general guide, Same Day Courier quotes are valid for 30 minutes, and Removals and Storage quotes for 24 hours, or earlier if your agreed collection or start time occurs sooner. An expired quote cannot be accepted or paid, and you will need a new quote.
Any material change to price, route, goods, inventory, date, time, vehicle, access or scope creates a new version of your quote or booking. We do not overwrite an accepted version — your original accepted terms remain on record.
Our standard Same Day Courier service includes one dedicated vehicle, one driver, one collection address and one delivery address, with direct transport and handover at the nearest safe and accessible point.
You are responsible for making sure goods are packed, secured and ready for collection, and for providing accurate collection, delivery, item, access and timing details. Loading and unloading assistance, room-to-room carrying, stairs, long carries, extra stops and similar services are not included unless specifically quoted.
Same Day Courier Approved Quotes are paid in full before booking confirmation. We do not offer standard pay-on-delivery or cash-on-delivery for this service. A payment confirmation screen or browser redirect is not, by itself, proof that payment has been received — your booking is confirmed once payment has been verified on our side.
Same Day Courier pricing may apply automatically across Great Britain mainland where the route and job are suitable. Bookings involving Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Scottish islands, ferry-dependent routes or international destinations are reviewed manually before confirmation.
MIRO removals are provided as a room-to-room loading and unloading service: goods are collected from the agreed rooms or areas and placed in the agreed rooms or areas at the delivery address, subject to declared access, stairs, lifts, carrying distance and safety.
We do not provide a general packing or unpacking service. Goods must be packed, sealed and protected before our team arrives, and fragile items must be adequately protected — a fragile label on its own is not a substitute for proper packaging. Poor packing may affect our ability to carry an item safely and may affect any later claim.
Dismantling and reassembly can be arranged on request for an additional fee, subject to suitability, time, access and approval.
Standard booking confirmation for removals requires a 50% payment by card. The remaining balance is due under the arrangement agreed at booking, normally on completion of the move. Cash may be approved for the remaining balance only, subject to our standard limits, and is not available for the initial booking payment.
Where requested and approved in advance, we may allow up to two passenger seats and pets to travel, subject to the vehicle assigned, legal seating requirements, driver suitability and safe load space. These are not guaranteed until we confirm them, and you should have an alternative arrangement in mind unless we have confirmed availability.
MIRO storage is managed storage. You do not receive a private, exclusive self-storage unit and you do not normally deliver to, collect from, or otherwise access the facility directly — MIRO controls collection, storage and redelivery.
Storage involves separate charges for collection, ongoing weekly storage, and redelivery. Collection and redelivery are paid in full when confirmed or requested. Weekly storage can be paid by Direct Debit or under an approved pay-at-end arrangement. No weekly storage charge begins until your goods have actually been collected.
Goods placed into storage must be packed, sealed, protected, clean and dry. We may refuse loose, unsafe, wet, infested, mouldy or contaminated goods.
Any outstanding storage balance must be settled, and the appropriate redelivery arrangement completed, before your goods can leave our custody.
We accept payment by card as our standard method across all services, using a secure payment provider. Where applicable, we may also accept Bacs Direct Debit (for ongoing storage), cleared bank transfer, approved cash (removals balance only, subject to our standard limits), and approved business-account invoicing (subject to agreed terms of up to 30 days).
We do not store your full card details. Where you agree to save a payment method for future use, this requires your separate, explicit consent, which explains who may charge the card, for what purpose, and how you can withdraw that consent for future charges. This does not affect any amount you already owe.
Our approach to cancellation, cancellation charges and refunds is set out in full in our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy. In summary:
You are responsible for providing accurate information about your collection point, delivery point, items, access and timing, and for making sure goods are packed, safe, lawful and accurately described. We may refuse to carry or store goods that are unsafe, prohibited, undeclared, or materially different from what was described when you booked. Where reasonably possible, we will discuss this with you and look at what can be safely and lawfully arranged instead.
Certain goods cannot be carried or stored, and others require you to tell us in advance so we can assess them properly. Full detail is set out in our separate Acceptable Goods and Prohibited Items policy, which forms part of these Terms.
We arrange our operations with appropriate insurance in place for the services we provide. Our insurance and liability position — including what is and is not automatically covered — is explained in our separate Insurance and Liability policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If something has gone wrong with your booking, or you need to report loss, damage, shortage or delay, please see our separate Complaints and Claims Policy, which explains how to get in touch, what we will ask you for, and how we handle your report.
We may use vetted, authorised subcontracted drivers and providers to deliver some or all of a booking. Using a subcontractor does not remove MIRO's responsibility to you under these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where we do, we will publish a new version with an updated date. A change to these Terms does not alter the version of the Terms that applied to a booking you have already accepted.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, limit or replace any right you have under UK consumer law, including the right to a service performed with reasonable care and skill and to fair and transparent contract terms. Where anything in these Terms conflicts with a right that cannot lawfully be excluded, that statutory right applies.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory protections that apply to you under the law of the part of the UK in which you are based. If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us on 07393 207202.
